How Bowling Scoring Works
Bowling scoring is simpler than it looks. Each game has 10 frames. Knock down all 10 pins on your first ball for a strike (10 + your next 2 rolls as bonus). Use both balls to clear all 10 for a spare (10 + your next roll as bonus). Miss some pins and it’s an open frame — just add the pins together. The 10th frame gives you up to 3 balls if you strike or spare. A perfect game of 12 consecutive strikes scores 300.
