Unveiling the Pure Envy bowling Ball: designed to dominate heavy oil lanes
Introduction
The Hammer Pure Envy bowling ball is designed to dominate heavy oil lanes, making it a top choice for bowlers seeking a high-performance ball that can handle challenging conditions
The Inspiration Behind the Pure Envy
The Pure Envy draws inspiration from two of Hammer’s most successful bowling balls: the Extreme Envy and the Hammer Effect. The goal was to create a ball that combines the strengths of both, providing bowlers with a versatile weapon on the lanes. The Pure Envy aims to offer the length of the Extreme Envy through the oil and the powerful backend motion of the Effect, making it a formidable force on heavy oil patterns.

Pure Envy Launcher Core - Unleash Unmatched Power and Motion on the Lanes
Launcher Core: Experience the Difference of High Differential and Asymmetry
The Hammer Pure Envy bowling ball utilizes the Launcher core, a key component in its ability to handle heavy oil conditions. This asymmetric core boasts a high differential and asymmetry, which contribute to its dynamic performance and ability to generate substantial ball motion. The high differential, specifically, creates a larger track flare as the ball travels down the lane, meaning more of the ball’s surface comes into contact with the lane, increasing its hooking potential.
Furthermore, the Launcher core’s asymmetry results in an uneven weight distribution. This unevenness amplifies the ball’s motion, making it particularly effective for heavy oil conditions where a strong hook is desired. Hammer specifically chose the Launcher core for the Pure Envy after testing multiple core designs, finding that it best complemented the desired backend motion inspired by the Hammer Effect.

HK22 - Cohesion Hybrid: Unmatched Traction for an Unrivaled Backend
Fine-Tuning for Peak Performance: Factory Finish
The Hammer Pure Envy is factory finished with a 500, 2000 Siaair Micro Pad. This creates a dull surface, which is a common characteristic for bowling balls designed for heavy oil conditions. This duller finish increases the ball’s friction with the lane surface, allowing it to grip and create more traction, leading to a more pronounced backend reaction. The 500, 2000 Siaair Micro Pad finish helps the Pure Envy power through the oil in the front part of the lane while still retaining enough energy to make a strong move towards the pins.
The choice of this specific finish is intentional, as Hammer aimed to create a ball that blends the strengths of the Extreme Envy and the Hammer Effect. By using a dull finish, they achieved the powerful backend motion reminiscent of the Effect while ensuring the ball maintains enough length through the oil, a trait associated with the Extreme Envy. This combination, along with the Launcher core and HK22 – Cohesion Hybrid coverstock, makes the Pure Envy a formidable option for bowlers seeking a high-performance ball that can excel on heavy oil patterns.

I love my pure envy ball. I stand at 20 and throw at 8. Even with oil on the outside edges, it comes back easy and strong. Most times at the start of game 2 it’s a little too strong, so I switch to a dv8 hater and stand in the same spot. Perfect. Pure envy is great for heavy oil or tourney. 205 average. Good luck everyone
