Quick Grit Guide

• 180–360: Maximum surface, earliest roll. Use on heavy oil.
• 500: Medium surface. Common factory finish. Works on a wide range of conditions.
• 1000: Fine surface. More length, cleaner through the front.
• 2000–3000: Very fine. Near-polished length with angular backend.
• 4000: Finest grit. Maximum length, sharpest backend snap.

Pro Tip: Always sand with the ball spinning on a ball spinner or cup for the most even scratch pattern. Wet sanding with a few drops of water produces a more consistent finish than dry sanding. Work in a cross-body pattern and spend at least 30 seconds per surface.
