These are BowlersMart’s 403 reviews of bowling balls, written 2014 to 2026. Questions bowlers ask

How are BowlersMart ball reviews written?

By the BowlersMart editorial team, from the manufacturer’s published specifications, the ball on the lane, and what our pro shop staff see when they drill and fit it. Every spec in a review is checked against the manufacturer’s official data.

Does a review mean the ball is in stock?

No. A review stays here after a ball is discontinued, because the core, the coverstock and the lane condition it suited still help you judge the balls that replaced it. Cards say “Shop this ball” while we sell it and “No longer sold” once we do not.

Do the reviews give a score or a star rating?

No. BowlersMart reviews describe how a ball is built and how it rolls rather than grading it, and the hub shows no scores. The star ratings you see on product pages are customer reviews of the product, which is a different thing.

How do I find reviews for one lane condition?

Filter by coverstock type. Solid reactive balls suit heavy and fresh oil, pearl reactive balls suit lighter oil and broken-down lanes, hybrids sit between and fit most house shots, and urethane suits short and sport patterns. The coverstock guide explains why.

What are the new release roundups?

Monthly posts that cover every ball announced for the coming month, several brands at a time, with each ball’s core, cover and release date. They are not reviews, so they sit in their own strip on this page rather than in the review list.

How old are the reviews?

They run from 2014 to 2026. The oldest are short video reviews; the newest run to several thousand words with full spec tables. Sort by release year or filter by year to stay recent.

Sources and method

How the reviews are written. Each review is written by the BowlersMart editorial team from the manufacturer’s published specifications (core, coverstock, RG, differential, finish, release date), the ball on the lane, and what our pro shop staff see at the counter. Specs on every review are checked against the manufacturer’s official data.

What the cards show. The brand, release year, coverstock type and core on each card come from our catalog record for that ball, the same data the core pages and the coverstock guide use. A ball shows “Shop this ball” only while we sell it; otherwise it is marked no longer sold and the review stays.

No scores. BowlersMart reviews carry no star rating or numeric score, so this hub shows none. A ball is described, not graded.

Updated. The list rebuilds nightly from the review posts and the catalog, so new reviews, stock changes and new core pages show the next morning.
