Free Ball Friday Official Rules

1. The Sponsor

Free Ball Friday (the “Contest”) is sponsored by BowlersMart LLC, 14910 Edward R Noll Dr, Spring Hill, Florida 34609. The Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook, Meta, or any bowling ball manufacturer, and none of them are responsible for it. Facebook is only where we announce the winner.

2. When the Contest Runs

Free Ball Friday runs in weekly rounds. A new round opens every Thursday and closes before that week’s drawing. Each round is a separate contest with its own entries and its own winner, so entering one week does not carry your entry into the next.

3. Who Can Enter

The Contest is open to legal residents of the contiguous United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of BowlersMart LLC and members of their immediate households are not eligible to win. The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

4. How to Enter, and Why It Is Free

There is no cost to enter and no purchase of any kind is required. Buying something does not improve your chances of winning. To enter, submit the entry form on the Contest page with your name and email address, agree to these Rules, and complete the security check that confirms you are a person rather than an automated script.

If you win, we pay to ship the ball to you. There are no shipping charges, handling charges, or entry fees at any point.

5. One Entry Per Person, Per Week

You may enter once per weekly round. If we receive more than one entry from the same person in the same round, we count the first one and disregard the rest rather than disqualifying you. You are welcome to come back and enter again in each new round.

6. How the Ball Is Chosen

The prize ball is chosen by community vote, not by us. Each Thursday we present two bowling balls on the Contest page and open voting. Whichever ball receives more votes is the ball we ship to that week’s winner. Voting is separate from entering: casting a vote is not an entry, and entering does not require you to vote.

7. The Drawing

One winner is selected at random from all valid entries received during that weekly round. The drawing is held live on the BowlersMart Facebook page on Saturday at approximately 5:00 PM Eastern time. Timing can shift for reasons outside our control, and a delayed drawing is still a valid drawing.

You do not need a Facebook account to enter or to win. Facebook is only where the drawing is broadcast.

8. How We Notify the Winner

We announce the winner during the live drawing and, if the winner is not present on Facebook, we contact them by email within 24 hours at the address submitted with the entry. Please make sure the email address you enter is one you actually read, and check your spam folder.

If we cannot reach the winner, or the winner does not respond within 7 days of our first message, we may select an alternate winner at random from the remaining valid entries for that round.

9. The Prize

The prize is one bowling ball: the ball that won that week’s community vote, shipped free to a street address in the contiguous United States. One prize is awarded per weekly round.

The ball ships undrilled so it can be custom fit to your hand. Drilling, fitting, and any pro shop labor are not included in the prize and are your responsibility. You can have it drilled at a BowlersMart pro shop or any local pro shop you choose.

The approximate retail value of the prize depends on which ball wins the vote, and the ball and its price are shown on the Contest page during the week you enter. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or a different ball. If the winning ball becomes unavailable in the weight requested or is discontinued before we can ship it, we may substitute a ball of comparable or greater value. You are responsible for any taxes on the prize.

10. Odds of Winning

Odds depend on the number of valid entries received in that weekly round. Because each round is separate, the odds are calculated for that round alone.

11. Email and Your Information

Entering the Contest also joins the Free Ball Friday contest email list at the sending frequency you select on the form, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message. Unsubscribing does not withdraw an entry you have already submitted.

We use the information you provide to run the Contest, to contact you if you win, and to send the email you signed up for. The BowlersMart Privacy Policy at https://www.bowlersmart.com/privacy-policy/ describes how we handle your information, and it applies to your entry.

12. Fair Play

Enter as yourself, once per round. Do not use scripts, bots, automated entry tools, disposable or fabricated email addresses, or multiple identities to enter more than once. We may disregard entries that appear automated or duplicated, and we may disqualify an entrant who tampers with the Contest, the voting, or the entry form. We would much rather correct a problem than remove someone, so if we think something is wrong with your entry we will try to reach you first where it is practical to do so.

13. Changes, Cancellation, and Governing Terms

We may change, suspend, or end the Contest or these Rules if we need to, including if the Contest cannot run as planned for technical or other reasons. If we change these Rules in a way that affects a round already open, the version of these Rules published when that round opened governs that round. Changes take effect when posted here.

These Rules operate alongside the BowlersMart Terms & Conditions of Use at https://www.bowlersmart.com/terms-of-service/, including its Governing Law and Dispute Resolution section, which applies to any dispute about the Contest. Where these Rules and those Terms differ about the Contest, these Rules control.
