Performance Dexter shoes use interchangeable pads so you control exactly how far you slide, with no change to your ball or your technique. Here is the whole system in under a minute.
Slide Soles
Go on your sliding foot. Made from microfiber, leather, or felt, they control how far you glide on your final step. This is the most-swapped pad in your setup.
Traction Soles
Go on your push-off foot. Usually rubber, they give you a stable platform to push from and help you keep your balance through the whole approach.
Brake Heels
Attach to the heel of your slide shoe. They set how quickly you stop after your last step, the key to staying balanced right at the foul line.
The number system is simple: lower numbers mean more grip and less slide, higher numbers mean more slide. New performance shoes usually ship around an S8 sole and an H5 heel, with room to adjust in either direction.
