What should I know about the Dexter SST 8 Pro?
Description
Performance Bowling Shoes with Total Interchangeable Soles
About the Dexter SST 8 Pro
The Dexter SST 8 Pro is a modern take on one of bowling’s most iconic performance shoes, built on Dexter’s flagship SST platform with total interchangeable sole construction so you can fine-tune your slide for any condition.
A soft man-made and nylon upper with a leather toe drag protector keeps the shoe light and comfortable, and removable molded footbeds let you dial in the fit.
How the Dexter SST 8 Pro Slides
The SST 8 Pro uses Dexter’s total interchangeable sole construction: the soles and heels are removable on both shoes and right or left convertible.
How the SST System Works
Both shoes carry interchangeable soles, so you can set it up for a right- or left-handed bowler. It ships with an S8 slide sole and H5 Saw-Tooth heel on the slide foot.
A Goodyear replaceable rubber traction sole with an H2 UltraBrakz heel handles the push-off foot for a stable, powerful plant.
Comfort and Fit
A soft man-made and nylon upper keeps the SST 8 Pro lightweight, and a leather toe drag protector stops slide sole peel back.
Traditional laces give a secure, classic fit.

Good to Know Before You Buy
BowlersMart Tips: Getting the Most From the Dexter SST 8 Pro
Dialing In Your Slide
Match the slide sole to the floor: a higher-number sole gives more glide on a sticky house pattern, a lower number grips more on a slick tournament shot. Higher number means more slide. Have sole and heel swaps done at your pro shop for an even, consistent finish.
Fit and Sizing
Order your normal size, or go down a half for a snugger, more consistent slide.
Care
Keep the slide sole clean and dry, and store spare soles flat. Use a slide-foot shoe cover when you step off the approach so the sole stays consistent.
