What should I know about the Dexter SST X?
Description
BOA Performance Bowling Shoes with Interchangeable Soles
About the Dexter SST X
The Dexter SST X is the next step in Dexter’s legendary SST line, built on the SST 8 platform with a bold, modern design. It keeps the trusted midsole height, high-rebound cushioning, and patented interchangeable sole and heel system, then adds advanced materials and a sleek silhouette.
A durable, highly breathable monofilament mesh upper with a full-grain leather toe tip keeps the shoe cool and tough, while the BOA Fit System dials in a secure fit across the midfoot. Includes one shoe protector.
How the Dexter SST X Slides
The SST X uses Dexter’s interchangeable sole system: the slide and traction soles and heels are removable and right or left convertible, so you control your slide, traction, and handedness.
How the SST X System Works
The SST X carries interchangeable slide and traction soles plus removable heels, so you can set it up for a right- or left-handed bowler and convert between them. Swap the soles and heels at your pro shop to fine-tune your glide as the lanes change.
A high-rebound EVA midsole with an SST X TPU heel stabilizer and ETPU toe impact foam keeps you stable and cushioned through every approach.
Upper and Fit
The durable, highly breathable monofilament mesh upper keeps the SST X cool through long blocks, and a full-grain leather toe tip adds durability. A removable molded footbed lets you run the stock insole or your own.
The BOA Fit System dial replaces traditional laces for a fast, micro-adjustable, repeatable fit.

BowlersMart Tips: Getting the Most From the Dexter SST X
Dialing In Your Slide
Match the slide sole to the floor: a higher-number sole gives more glide on a sticky house pattern, a lower number grips more on a slick tournament shot. Higher number means more slide. Have sole and heel swaps done at your pro shop for an even, consistent finish.
Fit and Sizing
Order your normal size, or go down a half for a snugger, more consistent slide.
Care
Keep the slide sole clean and dry, and store spare soles flat. Use a slide-foot shoe cover when you step off the approach so the sole stays consistent.
