About the Epic Ares Dial
The Epic Ares Dial brings a micro-adjustable dial fit and a swappable slide sole to bowlers who want real performance at a mid price. It is built for the right-handed bowler who wants to dial in a precise, secure fit and tune the slide to the lane.
The Epic Dial closure locks in uniform tension across the foot with a single twist, with no laces to retie between frames, and when the slide sole eventually wears, you replace the sole instead of the shoe.
How the Epic Ares Dial Slides
Your slide foot is the one opposite your bowling hand, so as a right-handed bowler you slide on your left foot and push off with your right. The Ares Dial puts a removable slide sole on that left foot for a controlled glide to the line, and a non-marking rubber push-off sole on the right foot for a stable, powerful plant.
The Removable Slide Sole
The Ares Dial ships with an M6 slide sole on the slide foot, an average-slide pad that works across the widest range of approaches. The sole is removable and cross-brand compatible, so you can swap in a different slide pad to match a tacky house floor or a slick tournament pattern, or simply replace it when it wears.
The heel is fixed for consistent, stable footing, so the slide sole is the part you tune. A little trimming may be needed to fit a replacement pad, which your pro shop can handle in minutes.
The Dial Closure, Upper, and Support
The Epic Dial closure system tightens with a twist and holds uniform tension across the whole foot, so there are no pressure points or hot spots through a long session. The performance faux leather upper with patent faux-leather inlays holds its shape through the repeated stress of your approach.
