How the Epic Men’s Ares Slides
Your slide foot is the one opposite your bowling hand, so as a right-handed bowler you slide on your left foot and push off with your right. The Ares has a fixed E8 microfiber slide sole on that left foot for a consistent, controlled glide, and a fixed Epic-Traction sole on the right foot for a stable, grippy push-off.
The Fixed Slide Sole and Push-Off
The E8 microfiber slide sole gives you an average, controlled slide right out of the box, the friction level that works across the widest range of approach surfaces. There is nothing to swap or adjust, so your slide reads the same every time you lace up.
On the push-off foot, the Epic-Traction sole grips the approach for a stable, powerful plant into every slide step. Together they give you a balanced, repeatable finish at the line.
The Upper, Lining, and Footbed
The soft manmade upper is lightweight and durable, with a fabric-lined interior and a padded collar that cushion your foot through a long session. The exceptionally light build helps keep your feet fresh from the first frame to the last.
A molded, removable blown EVA footbed adds cushioning that lasts, and the non-marking rubber outsole with a defined heel keeps you stable and ready on the approach.
