What should I know about the KR Polyester?
Description
A Colorful First Ball That Shoots Spares Straight
About the KR Polyester
KR Strikeforce built the Polyester for two jobs, and it nails both. For new bowlers it is a quality, colorful first ball that goes exactly where you point it. For league bowlers it is the dedicated spare ball every serious arsenal needs: a plastic ball that ignores the oil and holds a dead-straight line to the corner pin.
This is the Black Sparkle colorway, finished in a high-gloss polish. With weights from 6 to 16 pounds, it covers everyone from kids picking up their first ball to adults who want a reliable spare tool.
Understanding the TrueCore and Polyester (Plastic) Cover
There is no trick here, and that is the point. Minimal friction plus a stable weight block equals a ball that does the same thing every single time.
A Stable Weight Block That Keeps Straight Shots Straight
The TrueCore weight block is built for balance, not hook. With essentially no track flare, the ball holds its line after the release instead of chasing the friction, so the shot you practice is the shot you get.
Minimal Friction, Maximum Predictability
Polyester is the least aggressive cover material in bowling, generating very little friction with the lane. That is what makes it the standard for spare shooting: the ball pushes straight through the front and resists the hook a reactive cover would make, on any oil pattern. It is also extremely durable, shrugging off years of league play.

BowlersMart Tips: The Spare Half of the Classic Two-Ball Setup
Where It Fits in Your Arsenal
In the KR Strikeforce line, the Polyester is the spare-ball complement to the Rise: throw your reactive ball at the pocket, then switch to plastic and fire straight at what is left.
Coverstock Care
Plastic is low maintenance: wipe it down after bowling and give it an occasional clean to keep the high-gloss finish bright.
