The symmetric Atmos core delivers a controllable, predictable motion, while the Reactor Solid coverstock at a 2000-grit finish grabs the front and mid-lane for traction, the solid, medium-oil answer to the Typhoon’s clean, length-focused pearl.
Understanding the Storm Atmos A.I. Core and Storm Reactor Solid Reactive
Storm built the Monsoon as the solid, stronger half of the Typhoon pairing. Specifically, the symmetric Atmos A.I. Core produces a controllable, readable shape, while the Reactor Solid cover at a 2000-grit finish reads the lane earlier and grabs more oil than the Typhoon’s pearl. A Symmetric Core for a Controllable, Readable Motion
At the heart of the Monsoon is the symmetric Atmos A.I. Core, the same engine that powers the Typhoon. At 15 lb it measures RG 2.53 and a .042 differential, numbers that produce a controllable motion with medium flare and a clean, readable shape. As a symmetric core, it reads the lane predictably and repeats the same motion shot after shot.
On the Monsoon, that controllable core is paired with a solid cover instead of a pearl, so the same dependable shape now reads earlier and hooks more. It is the natural step up from the Typhoon when the lanes carry a bit more oil, the medium-oil companion on a shared, proven platform.

The Monsoon wraps that core in Storm’s Reactor Solid coverstock at a 2000-grit finish. The sanded solid cover grabs the front and mid-lane earlier and harder than the Typhoon’s pearl, delivering the traction needed for medium oil, then driving continuously through the pins.
That earlier, stronger read is exactly what separates the Monsoon from the Typhoon.
