About the Motor Rev
The Motor Rev is the fourth ball in Storm’s overseas Motor series, and the most aggressive of the family. It pairs the Torque AI core, the engine of the Motor series, with the RX Pro Pearl coverstock, an upgraded version of the RX cover that trades the light, sensitive response of a typical pearl for stable, aggressive friction.
Finished in Cranberry/Merlot with Storm’s Blueberry Smoothie fragrance, this is a high-performance asymmetric pearl for medium to heavy oil. And because this run is an X-Comp, you get it at a serious discount for nothing more than a cosmetic blemish.
Understanding the Storm Torque AI Core and Storm RX Pro Pearl Reactive
Storm built the Motor Rev to bring dynamic asymmetric power to the Motor series with a cover strong enough to use it.
The Torque AI: The Motor Series Engine
The asymmetric Torque AI core posts a 2.48 RG, a strong .052 differential, and a .017 intermediate differential at 15 pounds. Those numbers produce high flare, 5 to 6 inches of it, with the defined, angular breakpoint asymmetric cores are known for.
RX Pro Pearl: A Pearl That Grips
The RX Pro Pearl is an upgraded version of Storm’s RX pearl cover. At a 1500 grit polish it still clears the front of the lane like a pearl should, but the upgraded formulation replaces a pearl’s usual light, sensitive read with stable, aggressive friction in the midlane, so the Torque AI core’s energy arrives at the pins instead of burning off early.
