Report Card Review: Roto Grip UC2 Bowling Ball by Luke Rosdahl
here is my report card and take on the roto grip uc2 bowling ball

Roto Grip Rubicon UC2 Is a Backend Monster But Consistentย
Thanks for joining us for another video, this is a report card for the Rubicon UC2.ย Details are the refined etrax pearl coverstock, just etrax, thereโs no year of the formula associated with it.ย The core is the somewhat new Rondure core which is a mild asym, 2.49 RG, .052 differential and .011 split or intermediate differential in 15 pounds.ย Same RG and diff as the Ikon core in the Idols but with a mild asymmetry that really just improves the torque down lane, makes it firmer.ย The UC2 is a backend monster, and I do have an update to one of the numbers at the end of the video.ย Very clean up front, very flippy down lane, but this is absolutely the most consistent big backend ball Iโve ever thrown.ย I can always count on it to hook and finish, if it doesnโt, Iโve thrown it terribly.ย Angel and I both have softer speed, and having a ball like this that we donโt feel like we have to throw or try to push down the lane that will also boom like this really makes us comfortable.ย Usually when a ball covers this many boards, itโs because itโs just strong, my UC2 covers the same amount of boards as my Incite for example, but Iโve gotta remember to stay firm with the Incite because even though itโs a fair amount smoother than the UC2, itโs got a lot more traction.ย Side note, Iโve recently begun to find those two to be really good compliments, the on lane shapes and zones they like to play are really similar and they allow me to flip traction and shape with the same general ball motion.ย If I need more dig, itโs the Incite, if I need more length and shape, itโs the UC2.ย ย
Rubicon UC2 Ratingsย
As mentioned earlier, I made a slight adjustment to the numbers.ย 7 for hook, 7 for length, and I moved it up to a 10 for backend strength.ย It was previously tied with the Nuke for biggest backend ball in the catalog, but itโs actually quicker, plus I canโt really imagine more boom than this.ย Iโm sure they could make it happen, but it would probably be more inconsistent and wouldnโt ever make it out in the world, so I think this will be the high watermark for friction response and I just canโt believe itโs as consistent as it is.ย Thanks for watching and may the strikes be with you.ย ย

Powered by the same mildly asymmetric Rondure Core as one of the hottest balls on the planet, the Rubicon UC2 (Ultimate Concept 2)
showcases our latest eTrax pearlized coverstock formulation which automatically thrusts this ball onto the โMUST HAVEโ list for any bowler.
Itโs ok, you can thank us later!
Engineered for those Medium to Medium-Heavy Oil conditions, we felt it was an absolute must to provide added core technology in this line in order to create advanced ball motion since balance holes are no longer legal in sanctioned competition.
