Top 5 Must Have Storm Roto Grip & 900 Global Bowling Balls in 2023

Today we are going over what I consider the top 5 must have bowling balls! This list only features bowling balls that are still available so nothing thats discontinued!

Storm Infinite PhysiX Bowling Ball

INFINITE POTENTIAL

The Infinite PhysiX is destined to get the bowling world’s attention. When you craft vivacity with the same detail you craft performance, you create the Storm Premier Line. They’re more than mere bowling balls. They deliver motion with style. Entry angle with carry. We wouldn’t let it leave our proving grounds if it were any other way. Born from a place of refinement and obsessively honed on the lanes, they come from somewhere else – so they feel like nothing else.

The sculpted Oval Bolt in the center of the Atomic Core only heightens its performance character. This extremely center-heavy shape drives the RG low (2.48 in 15lb) and gets the ball moving in a dangerous way. The bowler doesn’t have to use as much energy at release because the Atomic Core is less resistant to changing direction versus a design that has a high RG. Add in a generous amount of differential, and the Infinite PhysiX further sets itself apart from other asymmetric concepts. Don’t thank us, thank science.

The Infinite PhysiX pushes the limits of performance, tech, and design. ReX adjusts the response time to friction that’s not as quick as R2S™ and not quite as slow as NeX™. What’s realized is a cover that fits a far-reaching diversity of forms, approaches, and styles. The bowler’s feel becomes heightened as they’re more connected to a ball that responds to their release with absolute fidelity. This helps optimize traction and control in a variety of playing conditions.

Storm Phaze 2 Bowling Ball

“Phaze 2 is amazing, one of the strongest and most versatile balls I have ever thrown.” – Mike LeViner – BowlersMart Charlotte

The new Phaze II features both innovative core and coverstock technology, proving again that Storm is the leader in bowling innovation. Advancements in the core shape are easily seen with the naked eye. This fast-revving shape, the aptly-named, supercharged Velocity Core helps you crush pin after pin as it produces more ball motion than any other shape in our Master Line. It smooths out the backend reaction without over-reacting and avoids creating an undesirable last-second movement.

TX-16 (Traction-X 2016) is what emerges from countless hours in R&D to develop the finest coverstocks on the planet. This solid reactive blend leaves an incredible footprint on the lane. The marriage between the core and the cover produces the strongest motion of any symmetrical Storm ball to date.

Storm Fate Bowling Ball

The Belmo story would not be the same if his path didn’t cross with Storm. For over 20 years they have formed a formidable team. Winning titles globally as an amateur and then breaking records and setting the PBA Tour on fire together for over adecade. The partnership between Storm and Belmo was not luck, it was their FATE. For a ball to be emblazoned with Jason Belmonte’s insignia, you know it must be special. After all, his 14 majors and multiple PBA Player of the Year accolades is no small feat. This man knows what he’s talking about, so we’ve enlisted his help in designing some of the highest performing balls on the market, balls which reflect his career.

Compared to the Dual-Drive™, Piston™, and Piston™ LD, the F-8 Core in the Fate has been packed with more differential than any previous Belmo ball before it. With those enhanced dynamics, the Fate gives the player more recovery and hitting power than any previous collaboration. This newly designed weight block was created to play multiple angles and have superior performance no matter your rev rate.

900 Global Eternity Bowling Ball

As with all of our high performance pearl covers, bowlers will find the Eternity to be easily tunable and able to cover a broad spectrum of oil conditions. Bowlers should notice this core to be a bit earlier and more aggressive than the Disturbance Core used on the Realities. It will expand upon the high performance shapes that the Reality and Zen have given us.

THE EPOCH ASYMMETRIC
The Epoch Asymmetric Core is an ALL NEW design that was inspired from the original Break Core that was used in so many previous Global releases. We have lowered the intermediate differential on the core compared to the Break Core to prevent the ball from losing energy too quickly or “lock up” as some asymmetric pieces tend to do. Bowlers should notice this core to be a bit earlier and more aggressive than the Disturbance Core used on the Realities. It will expand upon the high performance shapes that the Reality and Zen have given us.

S84 RESPONSE PEARL COVERSTOCK
The S84 Response Pearl Reactive Cover is back with a vengeance. Due to the increased microscopic pore sizes, this cover will be clean through the front part of the lane like a pearl should be, but also dig into the oil whereas other pearl covers tend to struggle with. This is the exact same cover that was used on the Altered Reality. As a matter of fact, 2 of the 3 colors used on the Altered have been utilized on the Eternity as well. As with all of our high performance pearl covers, bowlers will find the Eternity to be easily tunable and able to cover a broad spectrum of oil conditions.

900 Global Zen Bowling Ball

The S77 Response™ Pearl Coverstock was the obvious choice to follow up on the success of the S77 Response™ Solid coverstock. The Pearl version of this cover will provide the most skid/flip reaction we have ever put in the 800 Series. The Zen™ will be a great ball to open up your angles with on medium-heavy patterns.

The Meditate™ Core is the biggest core we have ever put into a bowling ball!! A bigger core means more hitting power combined with a more consistent reaction. Throughout testing the Meditate™ Core provided that wide “footprint on the lane that all bowlers love to see. The Zen™ pushes the limits of core dynamics.

  1. Thomas Hakes says:

Purchased the infinety physics. Nice ball, but it doesn’t work for me well, as I am a slow bowler and have used it. It is a pretty ball and has a lot of backends, but it eats up the oil . It’s a great ball and if you’re a high rev hard thrower or in between, it is a sweet ball. This ball is worth every penny, I just wish it would have worked for me, but then it has a story all its own, and you will love this ball. It may not have worked for me, but if you’re not a slow thrower at the age of 74 or there abouts, you could take a chance on it.I highly recommend it.
