Storm IDentity Black Cherry Purple Bowling Ball
What should I know about the IDentity?
Description
Jason Belmonte’s Signature Asymmetric Pearl
About the IDentity
When legends step onto the lanes, they bring more than skill, they bring confidence. The Storm IDentity combines Jason Belmonte’s expertise with cutting-edge technology to create a ball that does not just perform, it makes a statement. It pairs the revolutionary asymmetric ID A.I. Core with the responsive ReX Pearl Reactive coverstock for exceptional power with a clean, strong backend.
The IDentity reads the lane cleanly and finishes hard. The asymmetric ID core delivers power and consistency through a mild split between its Y and Z axes, while the ReX Pearl cover at a Power Edge polish conserves energy through the front of the lane and unleashes it at the breakpoint, the strong, angular reaction Belmonte demands.
Understanding the Storm ID A.I. Core and Storm ReX Pearl Reactive
Storm built the IDentity for clean length and a strong, angular backend. Specifically, the asymmetric ID A.I. Core uses a mild split between the Y and Z axes to deliver exceptional power and consistency, while the ReX Pearl cover at a Power Edge polish conserves energy through the fronts and stores it for a sharp move at the breakpoint. As a result, it clears the heads cleanly and finishes with the strong backend the game’s best demand. The full per-weight specifications are listed below.
An Asymmetric Core Tuned for Power and Consistency
At the heart of the IDentity is the revolutionary asymmetric ID A.I. Core. At 15 lb it measures RG 2.51, a strong .055 differential, and a .012 intermediate differential (mass bias), numbers that produce heavy flare and a strong, defined asymmetric motion. The core’s mild split between the Y and Z axes is engineered to deliver exceptional power with the consistency a Hall of Fame game requires.
That balance of power and consistency is what makes the IDentity so trustworthy. The strong differential supplies the flare to handle medium oil, while the asymmetric shape drives hard and continuously through the pins. Because it is asymmetric, layout has a strong influence on the reaction, so your pro shop can tune the pin and mass bias to your game.
A Responsive Pearl Cover for Clean Length and a Strong Backend
The IDentity wraps that core in Storm’s responsive ReX Pearl Reactive coverstock at a Power Edge polish. The pearl additive and polished surface conserve energy through the front of the lane, so the ball pushes cleanly through the heads, then makes a strong, angular move when it reaches the friction, exactly the backend reaction you are looking for.
That clean length-and-angle shape is what makes the IDentity such a statement piece. It gets down the lane and still finishes hard, thanks to the strong ID core. Leave it polished for the most length and angle, or take the surface down at your pro shop for an earlier, smoother read when the oil increases.

BowlersMart Tips: Where the IDentity Fits in Your Storm Arsenal
Where It Fits in Your Arsenal
In the Storm lineup, the IDentity is a strong, angular pearl for medium oil. It clears the fronts cleanly and stores its energy for a sharp backend, so it shines when you want length and angle. It pairs naturally below your strongest solid traction pieces and above your weaker, cleaner pearls, a confident step-down as the lanes transition.
Surface Adjustments
The Power Edge polish is a length-and-angle setup out of the box. Take the surface down with a lower-grit pad for an earlier, smoother read on more oil, or re-polish to restore length. Have surface changes done at your pro shop for an even, consistent finish.
Coverstock Care
Wipe the ReX Pearl cover with an approved reactive ball cleaner after every session, and deep clean it periodically. Keeping a polished pearl clean preserves the clean length and strong backend that define the IDentity.
