1 - Hammer Black Widow Ghost Pearl Bowling Ball

The Hammer Black Widow Ghost Pearl bowling ball is a fan-favorite!

It’s back, and it’s beautiful. The Black Widow, Hammer’s most successful line, is back at it, this time with a polished pearl that will get a ton of attention. Pink was incredible for the Widow series and the Ghost; a gorgeous white pearl version will be the next big thing. The overwhelming response by Hammer fans for the Black Widow 2.0 and its longevity gives us a lot of confidence that this polished, pearl version will make its way into every Hammerhead’s bag.

2 - Storm Phaze 3 Bowling Ball

With the shelf appeal of the Storm Phase 3, this has been a long time favorite of bowlers.

A Storm bowling ball only starts with state of the art. From there, everything from core technology to coverstock formulations is developed to heighten, escalate and intensify its performance, and yours.

3 - 900 Global Zen Bowling Ball

The 900 Global Zen is known for being smooth, consistent and powerful at the pins.

The S77 Response™ Pearl Coverstock was the obvious choice to follow up on the success of the S77 Response™ Solid coverstock. The Pearl version of this cover will provide the most skid/flip reaction we have ever put in the 800 Series. The Zen™ will be a great ball to open up your angles with on medium-heavy patterns.

The Meditate™ Core is the biggest core we have ever put into a bowling ball!! A bigger core means more hitting power combined with a more consistent reaction. Throughout testing the Meditate™ Core provided that wide “footprint on the lane that all bowlers love to see. The Zen™ pushes the limits of core dynamics.

4 - Motiv Fatal Venom Bowling Ball

Motiv knocked it out of the park with the Fatal Venom. With its bright green color and consistent performance, pins didn’t stand a chance!

The Fatal Venom provides a deadly combination of length with an angular strike on light-medium oil conditions. It features the latest MOTIV® cover technology and the outstanding original Gear core from the Venom Shock.

The Gear core gives the Fatal Venom both low RG and low differential so it spins super-fast with minimal track flare. The result is a stable ball motion with massive energy retention.

5 - Roto Grip Rubicon UC3 Bowling Ball

When you need to control the lanes, the Roto Grip Rubicon UC3 provides the right shape needed for tough to dry lane conditions.

The Rubicon™ UC3 (Ultimate Concept 3) takes Tour Level performance to a whole new level. We first focused on core specifics and decided that the mildly asymmetric Rondure™ Core was the ideal core shape in order to generate adequate flare.

From there we engineered the Tour-ethane™ Pearl coverstock to maximize performance and control on those higher friction patterns and lane surfaces. This core and urethane cover combination changes the game!

8 - Hammer Raw Hammer Hybrid Orange Black Bowling Ball

When looking for performance bowling balls on a budget, look no further than the Hammer Raw Hammer Line. At under $100, these are your best band for your buck.

RAW POWER AND PERFORMANCE!

We’re Hammer, and we’re not going to do things like everyone else, thus, the Raw Hammer series. The difference with these balls is, we took performance and being unique into account. This series was created to enhance a Hammerhead’s bag and gives newer bowlers performance options with their first Hammer purchase.

9 - Storm Hy-Road Bowling Ball

As Storm’s original top performance line, Thunder line balls utilize core technology proven effective for years.

Power in every shot. Purpose in every ball. For eight years, the Hy-Road has exemplified this. The hitting power is unmistakable in the Inverted Fe2 Technology with its heightened coefficient of restitution. The R2S Hybrid Reactive has become pillar of consistency utilized in some of Storm’s most successful balls in recent history.

Inverted Fe2 technology boasts a higher RG and differential like most other balls in the Thunder Line, but with one very important benefit: it lacks the core material that most other balls have. This enables the ball to have a much thicker shell which raises the coefficient of restitution. A higher energy transfer to the pins with less deflection upon impact is what can be expected with this design.

10 - Motiv Venom Shock Bowling Ball

If you’re looking for a solid benchmark ball, look no further than the Motiv Venom Shock.

The Motiv Venon Shock has it all at an affordable price. This ball pairs the Gear weight block with the Turmoil MFS Reactive coverstock from the Covert Revolt to produce a smooth but angular backend motion that continues through the pins. The colors on this ball really pop on the lane and produce shocking results on light to medium oil conditions.

The Venom Shock and the Hy-Road are legends. I have both. I prefer the Venom Shock on lighter lanes and the Hy-Road on moderate or average conditions. They set the standard for benchmark balls and can make novice bowlers look good. And I have the Hammer Black Widow Legend which has given me my highest games. There’s something special about the Black Widows. A friend has the Pink one and loves it. These Hammers are fun to throw and they hit the pins with a ton of power. I compare mine to the Phaze II, which I just bought, but the Phaze is silky smooth, and not quite as strong on the pins. It was recently voted the GOAT on the Storm website (Greatest Of All-Time). The Hy-Road came in second. Sometimes I just take my Phaze II, Hy-Road, and Mix out, an all-Storm arsenal, and I have a blast bowling with three iconic and amazing balls. The Mix is one tough urethane and it never gets tired. I use it for tricky spares and as an emergency strike ball when nothing else works. Back to Motiv, I know someone who bought the Fatal Venom and he swears by it. You can’t go wrong with this Top Ten list provided by the Bowlersmart staff. Every ball on the list is a winner!

I have none of these – my typical league (house) begins with the old favorite DV8 Poison. Once I move left, the transition is to the Zen Soul and the Fate. I just bowled my first 800-series with the Poison, so I haven’t seen a need to move. I recently had a 299 with Dark Code but I’ve gone to the Fate same coverstock but different core and the layout allows me to me move left and retain strength.
