Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bowling was introduced to Mike by his parents who were very active league bowlers. He played all kinds of sports growing up, football, baseball, basketball, tennis, golf, archery etc. but he really excelled at bowling, averaging 200 by the age of 12. He decided to turn pro at the age of 20 and “graduated” from the very first PBA School in Chicago in 1981. He has been very fortunate to have made a childhood dream turn into a solid and successful professional career.
He has been married to his best friend Sammy for 10 years. They pretty much do everything together and compete at everything they can get their hands on. He bleeds Crimson and Cream for his Oklahoma Sooners and has been a die-hard Cubbies fan since 1984.
