PBA JR. NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP REGIONAL DATES ANNOUNCED FOR 2021 BOWLING TOURNAMENTS

New York, NY – After a thrilling finish to the inaugural PBA Jr. National Championship Finals on Sunday, the PBA is excited to release dates for 2021. In addition to the National Championship Qualifying tournaments, the PBA is also introducing regional tournaments throughout the year giving more opportunities for youth bowlers to earn SMART scholarships.

The PBA Jr. National Championship will once again be a two-fold competition. The first part of the event is open to all youth bowlers, who have not yet reached the age of 18 by August 1, 2021, receiving direct entry into four Regional Tournaments at Bowlero centers around the country on September 3-5, 2021.

Each Regional Tournament will guarantee a first place $2,000 SMART Scholarship with scholarships being awarded to one out of every six (1:6) entries in each division.

The East Regional Tournament will be held in conjunction with the 22nd Parker Bohn III (PB3) Scholarship Tournament at Howell Lanes in Howell, NJ. The date of the event to be announced.

The top two girl and boy finishers in each Regional will advance to the National Championship to compete for a $7,500 SMART Scholarship. The National Championship date will be held in conjunction with a PBA National Tour stop, to be named at a later date.

New to 2021, the PBA is expanding PBA Jr. competition by introducing the first of several PBA Jr. Regional Tournaments, outside of the National Event, offering more opportunities for youth bowlers to compete with the best and earn SMART scholarships for their future education.

PBA Jr. Regional tournaments will take place throughout the spring and summer across the country, with competition on the weekends to allow as many elite youth bowlers to participate. Youth bowlers, girls and boys, ages 17 and under are eligible to compete, with PBA Jr. Club members receiving priority discounted entry.
