COVER FAMILIES

Solid vs Pearl vs Hybrid

Most Storm covers fall into one of three sub-types within the reactive resin family. Picking the sub-type narrows the search before you drill into specific compounds.

MOST FRICTION

Solid Reactive

Highest oil traction. Reads the lane earliest. Best for heavy oil and sport patterns.

Storm: R2S Solid, NRG Solid, EXO Solid
BALANCED

Hybrid Reactive

Blend of solid traction and pearl length. The versatile middle-ground cover for medium oil.

Storm: R2S Pearl, NeX Hybrid, NRG Pearl
LENGTH

Pearl Reactive

Glossier surface, less friction in the front. Saves energy for a defined backend break.

Storm: TX-23 Hybrid, ReX Pearl
