This ball has everything you are looking for in a high performance bowling ball. Ball is very clean so it stores plenty of energy for the back end. Ball reads the middle part of the lane the way you need it to and then once it hits the end of the pattern it has a very hard continuous motion. This ball is very special and cant wait to see what Hammer comes out with next.

Ball is money, huge amount of hook but plenty of backend. Got this ball to take the spot of my older Taboo and it is perfect for what I needed. I believe this ball hooks harder on the back then my Taboo when it was new.
Really liking this ball, have had it for 5 weeks and I have increased my average by 5 pins (This deep into the season) isnt easy to do either! Thanks Hammer for an awesome rock!

I was in Orlando visiting friends and went to bowl at Boardwalk Bowl. I stopped into the pro shop because we do not have one back home in Iowa where I am from and it caught my eye when I walked into the front door. Shop was like a bowling heaven, plenty of stuff on the walls and the staff working were really helpful. Told them I had an old Virtual Gravity and was recommended to get the Deadly Aim. Shawn refit me and I am thrilled with the job he did. Ball is exactly what I wanted and now I wish my other balls fit like this one lol. Shawn even shipped it home for me to Iowa free of charge. Thanks again guys and great job Hammer.

Been killing it with he Deadly Aim. Had it drilled 40x5x45 because I needed it for a fresh house shot. Our center uses older HPL lane surfaces so the friction is a little higher but they load up the fronts with a lot of volume. I needed something that could corner in the back but still read the midlane and I have not been disappointed. . It goes nicely with my Assassin and my older Cobalt vibe. Was considering getting the Hyper Cell also in a few weeks for USBC tournament. BowlersMart also did a nice job helping with the ball selection. Thanks guys

For a high performance ball I was hoping it would hook a little more. It is not bad, dont get me wrong I feel like it just is not worth 200+ dollars. I was hoping it would hook more then my IQ Tour Solid but not the case. Actually this ball is a step down from it so at least I have a place for it in my bag. I do think it is cool it has a 3 year warranty and the carbon fiber core.

Bought this ball when it came out and bowled poorly for a couple weeks with it, until I learned where to stand and how to use it. Now that I have figured it out I can not put it down. Shot my season high series last week and also got my average back to where it was at and added 6 pins to it. Going for my high average of 192 by seasons end now. Has a lot of power with the carbon fiber core.

I have been bowling for 12 years and I can say I have never had a ball hit this hard. The carbon fiber inside the ball is amazing for the hitting power and I really love the 3 year warranty.
I drilled my Deadly Aim 65x4x55 because I wanted something that was strong but a little smoother on the backend because of my rev rate. I adjusted the surface to 2000 abralon to help it pick up a touch sooner.
In the end I got a reaction that hooks a lot has a great midlane and plenty of power when it corners to kick the corners.

I’m a right-handed tweener with a 197 average; bowling the second shift on a medium THS.
Early impressions are, well, impressive! When the lanes are right for it (medium to med-heavy oil), the Deadly Aim goes long, then drives hard, and absolutely devastates the pocket. I wouldn’t be surprised if a slow-motion replay revealed pins in the back row turning around and jumping off the back of the deck before impact purely out of fear. It hits THAT hard.
This ball definitely deserves a spot in your bag. Just make sure its got a friend in there who can bail you out when the lanes start to dry out or if you’re bowling on a shorter pattern.

The new Deadly Aim from Hammer is a very impressive ball with the heavy rolls that it provides. I really like the new cover/core combo on this ball and the motion that it provides. The Carbon Fiber in the outer-core is a 1st in the industry and I know that you hear it all the time, but this ball really hits HARD… Hardest hitting Hammer ball to date!
I received a short pin so I wanted to drill this ball to be very strong rolling piece for the heavier medium patterns. I will be drilling up another one of these with a pin up position to give it more length. With the cover prep, this ball does get through the fronts with ease, and provides a really strong, heavy rolling motion through the mid-lane that does not stop. This ball does not quit when moving inside and is hungry for more oil, so I would recommend if you are thinking of moving in with this ball, do it.
Dislikes: Drier lane patterns – there are other Hammer balls for these patterns. The box surface on my ball was a little too strong for THS pattern, so I put a little clean/sheen polish on the ball, and rolls much better. I would recommend this ball for the medium to medium heavier patterns.
With the new 3 year warranty that Hammer is providing for this ball, this is the BEST bang for your buck!
This ball has a great motion that does not stop rolling in the backend – it really continues through the pin deck!
Very versatile ball…

Not only is this ball pretty going down the lane, but its overall reaction and hitting power is like no other. This ball for me just ROLLS and the breakpoint turn is like IM COMING FOR YOU and it smashes the pins and makes that wonderful sound of destruction. If you are looking for a ball that is needed for heavy oil with hitting power, then this is definitely the ball for you. The 3 yr warranty is probably the best part about this whole product. Hammer out did themselves here !!

PROS: Oh Yes 3 year warranty is correct and yes you get one hell of a awesome bowling ball with technology that has never been used in a ball before…carbon fibers. So you say nothing hits harder….well I guess you better try the superior design of Deadly Aim and get your sights set on high scores and winning big!!!
CONS: bowling center pins…there will be a lot of casualties.

Ball is extremely strong. Was everything I had hoped for in a aggressive ball. This is my first real high performance ball and I am very pleased.

15*-17* tilt
300-320 rev rate

Drilled this for extreme wet dry, I went with a 75×3.5×50 ad it does the trick. Gets thru the heads nice, reacts in the midlane and rolls thru the pins very nice. Very happy with this Deadly AIm so far on anything fresh. Drilled like this I can not move into deep because it will not create the shape but it is not intended for that. Thinking of drilling a second to create more down lane motion.

I needed something that hooked a little more then my Absolut Hook so I picked one of these up. I drilled it the same as my Absolut Hook and the shop said the ball would be the difference in movement. I agree after using it, it is a nice 1 2 punch with my Hook.

I don’t usually buy Hammer bowling balls. But after reading some of the reviews for the Deadly Aim, I figured this would be a good time to try one.. First initial impressions are pretty good. Not the most hook I’ve ever had, but still extremely strong on the back end. I really like the way it travels through the pins.. I understand what a lot of people are saying about less deflection.. It doesn’t hook as much as my Hyper Cell, but it is a great compliment none the less.
Best thing about this ball is the warranty. I have had plenty of bowling balls crack after the year warranty is up…having a multi year warranty on a bowling ball is SICK!! Hope this is a trend that continues.

After drilling this ball, I was really excited to get out on the lanes to try it out. It has been a while since I have drilled anything high performance and was ready to see what Hammer had to offer this time around. I can say I was not dissappointed. After a few warm up shots, I started to get back into the groove of things and was happy with what I saw.
I usually stand 10, aiming out to 7, playing a little straighter up the lane. The Deadly Aim allowed me the option to play the outside of the lane or move a little further left and play a deeper line. The ball is so clean through the front of the lane and has a pretty impressive turn off of the friction. As the lanes started to break down, I was able to make my 2and1 moves and the ball continued to pick up the lane and roll just as strong through the pocket. It never seemed to waiver and that was what impressed me the most. I would definitely recommend the Deadly Aim to most bowlers. The only bowler that I feel may have an issue would be a higher rev rate/high ball speed player. I did notice that if I got the ball through the breakpoint too quickly it would not recover as well.
Overall a great product and will definitely be sitting in my bag this year!

This is the hardest hitting ball I have ever thrown.. I wouldnt say I have a lot of hand.. but I do have alot of speed on the ball for a female and I typically leave about 5-7 10pins on average at league every week… This ball has drastically cut that down.. It even make a wicked sound when it hits the pins like your breaking them in half every time you strike.. worth the money, and looks awesome rolling down the lane with the BRIGHT red orange and yellow

Balance Hole: None
Surface Preparation: Box Condition
What I Was Looking For in this Ball and Layout:
I was looking to find that big booming, polished asymmetric backend motion. I wanted to see a ball that I could throw after I put the big oil ball down, and then be able to throw it for a long time.
What I Ended Up With in this Ball and Layout:
The Deadly Aim fit in some ways, and missed in others. With a little fresher backends, the Deadly Aim is definitely a big backend ball with a great look from Hammer. The red/orange swirl combination gives the user that high-revving look with a strong midlane presence. The new core shape seems to be “rolly” in nauture, so surface on the ball is probably key to creating the length you want. Out of the box it’s not a “shiny” ball, but it’s not dull either. It’s kind of medium on finish, and will definitely get longer with a little more polish.
The area where Deadly Aim was a touch weak was deep inside angles when going away from the pocket. That’s where I would have liked to see a stronger downlane hook. From more standard launch angles, Deadly Aim is plenty of ball to come around the corner and put 10 in the pit. But there is a limit to how far in you can go before you start to lose a little carry.
This is definitely a step in the right direction for Hammer. When you throw this one versus some of the other polished balls, you do see a quicker response to friction. That’s something Hammer buyers have been looking for. The overall hook of the Deadly aim is in the range of other high-performance balls that are not sanded. It is one of the highest priced balls on the market.
