Understanding the Motiv Excel Core and Motiv Vitality Pearl Reactive

Motiv built the Frenzy to attack lighter volumes of oil with more motion than the Ascend. Specifically, the symmetric Excel Core has a high RG and a moderate differential (2.55 RG and .030 differential at 15 lb, versus 2.59 and .023 for the Ascend), so it holds energy through the front and flares enough to create noticeably more hook, while the Vitality Pearl Reactive cover at a 5500 Grit LSP finish keeps the ball clean through the heads for controlled power on the backend. The pearl additive and the polished surface conserve energy through the heads, so the Frenzy pushes cleanly through the front of the lane and stores its power for a controlled, responsive move at the breakpoint. It is built for light to medium oil, the conditions where stronger balls hook too early and entry-level balls do not hook enough.
