In 1994, Bryan Goebel had front 11 to beat Norm Duke’s 280 in the title match of the PBA True Value Open in Peoria, Ill. Also a $200,000 perfect-game bonus offered by True Value in its own tournament. Duke’s 280 game still remains the highest losing score in a televised title match.
